Biographical Sketch: Mark Dougherty is the Director of Distributed Generation & Renewable Programs for the Long Island Power Authority. He manages LIPA Renewable Generation Programs which includes: Solar Pioneer, Solar Entrepreneur, and Backyard Wind Initiative to promote clean new electric generation technologies and energy efficiency.
He also manages LIPA’s Research & Development Distributed Generation programs and demonstration projects including Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Wind, Geo-thermal, Solar projects, Wave and Tidal.
He serves on the Executive Board of Directors for SEPA, Board of Association of State Energy Research & Technology Transfer Institutions, and Greater Long Island Clean Cities Coalition to enhance public awareness to shareholders and the general public through dissemination of information on clean fuel vehicle opportunities and benefits of their use.
