Biographical Sketch: Add solar panels to transformers, poles, and wiring as part of the utilities’ landscape. In helping its customers go green while advancing solar technology and making solar generation more affordable, PSE&G is engaged in investment, ownership and operating solar systems. In New Jersey, the most densely populated state in the country, where developable land is at a premium. PSE&G is using innovative platforms such as grid connected solar attached to utility poles. PSE&G also provides financing through a loan program. Approximately 50% of the total capital required comes from the loan which can be paid using solar renewable energy credits (SRECs) generated by the system. Mr. Matos heads up a new group at PSE&G, that develops renewable projects and programs.
