Biographical Sketch: Lee Boughey is Sr. Manager of Communications and Public Affairs at Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, a consumer-owned, not-for-profit wholesale electricity supplier owned by 44 member cooperatives and public power districts in Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska and Wyoming. Tri-State will take the full output of the 30-megawatt Cimarron I solar project under construction by First Solar in northeastern New Mexico. At Tri-State, Lee is responsible for the cooperative’s corporate, generation and transmission development communications and public affairs activities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Colorado and a graduate degree in environmental policy from the University of Denver.
